  • Perform and administer your charter contract and related services.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations (which may require us to keep certain records for several years).

Specifically:

  • Comments: We do not currently allow comments. If we enable comments in the future, we will retain a comment and its metadata only if you choose to leave a comment. In that case, the comment and its metadata would be retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve any follow‑up comments automatically.

Website administrators could also see and edit that information.
  • For charter bookings and inquiries, booking and contract data may be kept for up to 6 years after your charter ends or after our last communication with you, in line with typical Greek and EU tax, commercial, and limitation‑period requirements.
  • Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or after a defined period of inactivity (e.g., 24 months), unless you choose to remain subscribed.
  • Technical and usage data (such as analytics logs) is retained for 12 months, unless needed for security investigations.

If, in the future, you have an account on this site or leave comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us (such as booking details, contact information, and preferences). You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at themis.sailing@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Where your data is sent

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including where our charter operators, crew, service providers, or technology partners are located. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other legally approved mechanisms) to protect your data during such transfers.

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include secure servers, encryption where appropriate, access controls, and staff training. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
